Restaurant Week Albuquerque

Restaurant Week Albuquerque is a great time to try a new restaurant or return to a favorite, with added benefits. We first experienced restaurant week a few years ago when our national innkeepers’ conference was in Austin. Someone suggested a nearby seafood restaurant, Truluck’s, for dinner that was participating in a special program–Restaurant Week. For a fixed price with a selection of fixed menus, we had a salad, entree and sides and a dessert. It was a truly memorable meal at a reasonable price. Since then, we’ve always looked forward to Restaurant Week in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

When is Restaurant Week Albuquerque?

In 2019, Restaurant Week Albuquerque is March 3-10. Some restaurants are open and participate for lunch or dinner, and some do both. Restaurant Week Santa Fe starts February 22 and goes through March 3. To see if your area or city has a Restaurant Week, look it up on Google. Restaurant Week usually takes place during the slow season. It’s a good time for restaurants to bring back repeat guests as well as new customers.

What kind of menu is offered?

We haven’t had a meal at Torino’s Trattoria yet, and the menu for Restaurant Week sounds amazing. For example, for a fixed price of $35 per person, the dinner menu is an appetizer, and entree and a dessert. The appetizer choices are calamari fritti, burrata (cherry tomatoes, prosciutto di Parma, artichoke hearts, and fig jam with white balsalmic), or Torino’s chopped salad. For the entrees, choose among the Vitalle Milanese (veal chop), Porcini Ravioli Con Salsiccia (mushroom ravioli), or Salmone Con Risotto (salmon with rice). Top off the meal with a dessert of Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, or Caramello Biscotto. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Add a nice glass of wine or a craft beer for a complete meal. Date night!

How much should I expect to pay?

Prices range from fairly inexpensive ($15 for a fabulous 3-course lunch) to a bit pricey ($45 per person for dinner). Even at the higher end, these are some truly great and well-known restaurants where their normal ticket for a comparable dinner could be much higher. Check each restaurant’s menus and prices to decide where you would like to go.

What restaurants are participating?

So far, 21 Albuquerque restaurants are participating, and an astounding 54 Santa Fe restaurants are participating. Some of our favorites in Albuquerque are the Range Cafe, Artichoke Cafe, Mas Tapas y Vino, the Standard Diner, and Zinc Wine Bar & Bistro. And there are certainly some we’ve been wanting to try.
