Native American Days in Old Town Albuquerque–August 3-4, 2012

Another segment of New Mexico culture will be featured at the Native American Days in Old Town Albuquerque on August 3-4, 2012. The ceremonies begin on Friday, August 3, at 3:00 p.m. with a blessing, continue with a gourd dance, and then a performance by the Jemez singers and drummers. The Native American Council Dancers will be performing throughout Old Town on Friday. Friday’s festivities conclude with a mini-pow-wow from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

On Saturday hear the amazing voice of singer Shelly Morningsong on the gazebo at 2:00 p.m., followed by Grammy-award winning flute player Robert Mirabal from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.

I’m having fun–come on along!
